Little Ballerina

Taelyn had her first dance recital a couple of weeks ago, and she was so excited for it!  Justin and I took the morning off of work to go and watch, along with Kaelia and our nanny, Maria.  When arrived, all of the dancers were sitting together in the staging area, but I couldn't find Taelyn any where.  I just figured the dancers were a different class of dancers.  Then a little girl ran over towards me, and there was my Taelyn all grown up with make-up patterns around her eyes and jewels.  She was one of the dancers that we saw, but I completely did not recognize her at first.

The actual recital was absolutely adorable.  Taelyn was very focused to make sure she was doing the dances correctly and then started to really open up when the dances entitled imaginative play.  One dance involved ribbons while another included a baby doll.

Taelyn was also happy to have her sister at the recital.  At one point, Kaelia was sitting in the back of the audience's section.  Taelyn looked over at me and mouthed the words, "Where's Kaelia?"  She was relieved to see her back up front with me a little later.  And at the end of the show, Kaelia gave her sister a big hug and told her "Good job."

We are so proud of our big girl, and Taelyn can't wait until dance class starts up again in January.
