Last night was the official night for trick or treating in a well-known community of our town. The girls had been waiting for this night for quite some time and were so excited to get their costumes out and wear them. We purposely did not let them see the costumes until yesterday so that the excitement could climax on our Halloween night.
We started our Halloween preparations at our good friends' house where we had dinner and the girls played with their best friend, Arianna. The plan was to get into our costumes there and then head over to trick or treating at 5:30pm. Unfortunately, as the time got nearer, the weather grew dreadful. By 5:15, it was pouring down with rain with crazy thunder, lighting, and hail. There was no way we go trick or treating out in that!
So we improvised. Justin ran out to the store to pick up some candy while I got the girls dressed up. Taelyn was a bumble bee and bounced around all evening, stinging people with her stinger. Kaelia was Cinderella and could not get over how beautiful her dress was. She kept lifting up the sides of her dress, saying "look at my dress!" She was gorgeous, and Taelyn was hysterical.
When Justin got back from the store, he and our friend, Kris, stood behind various bedroom doors while I took the girls trick or treating from door to door. All three of them did an excellent job saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" afterward. They had a wonderful time and were perfectly content with their trick or treating experience indoors.

Taelyn introduces herself to all of the new characters in the room.
